First, the medication counseling be conducted by general pharmacist(43.2%) with proper verbal description(71.1%)method for those in the hospital vicinity(36.1%), house vicinity(26.4%). This is mainly conducted by the pharmacy cashier instead of the independent consultation which is only the case for 2.3%. Secondly, the outpatient(32.9%) is highly concerning about use of the medication and what to do if adverse effects occur. Also, research has found that the proper medication counseling about adverse effects, proper diet while taking the medicines, explanation of use in conjunction with oriental medicines is not sufficient for the outpatient. Thirdly, in case of outpatients, when they have enough information from pharmacist about medication counseling and direct consultation with pharmacist, the patient takes the medicines properly and return to the same pharmacy. The counseling pharmacist¡¯s consultation time and proper explanation of medicine is highly correlated with return visit to the pharmacy. Fourthly, patient counseling refers to the process of providing information, advice and assistance to help patients use their medications appropriately. Outpatients who have proper explanation of the prescribed medicine and storage take medicines properly. The time for medicine to take effect is not influenced for the patients. As a result, this research shows that the medication counseling for the outpatient is a factor of patient¡¯s satisfaction. Therefore, on the basis of this research, the adverse effects and precautions should be stressed in the medication counseling.
